Overview
OE Quality O2 Sensors are in demand in Today’s Aftermarket
As a vehicle owner, the last thing to appear on your car dashboard is a bright Check Engine light or a message on the car’s computer alerting that there is a heater circuit malfunction which could be the result of the O2 sensor. These sensors are a vital component of every modern engine because of their purpose to keep track of the fuel-injection system and the emissions coming from the exhaust when acceleration occurs or in cruise conditions.
The sensor body is contained in a ceramic casing to ensure protection against any mechanical effects and or any mounting issues. The core of the O2 sensor is made of Zirconia (Zirconium), Zirconium ceramic bulb is coated with a porous layer of platinum which helps produce a voltage (50 mV to 900mV) according to the difference in oxygen concentration between the outside air and the gas from the exhaust.
